Robert Leo Boulay, 66, of Tiverton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, after a courageous fight with cancer. Known as Bob, he was the husband of Monique M. (Boucher) Boulay.
Born in Burlington, Vermont, he was the son of the late Camille E. Boulay and Pauline B. (Roy) Boulay. He served in the U.S. Navy for seven years and was discharged with the rank of Shipfitter First Class (E-6) as a certified pipe welder. Mr. Boulay was a boiler equipment operator and worked for the Polaroid/Enron/Linc Facility. He attended the parishes of St. Theresa and St. Madeline, and he especially enjoyed family get-togethers, sailing, and motorcycling.
Besides his wife of 43 years, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Landrey, of Pawnee, Ill.; his son, Richard Boulay, and wife, Ivonne, of Franklin, Mass.; his brother, Paul Boulay, of Fernandino Beach, Fla.; his sister, Christine White, of Oviedo, Fla.; his three grandchildren, Sydney Landrey, Abigail Landrey, and Dylan Boulay, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nancy Heath and Lorraine Boulay.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, at 9 a.m. The family will receive family and friends from 8-9 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA 02719, or a charity of one’s choice in Robert’s memory.
