Maureen E. Dyer, 79, formerly of Round Pond Road, Little Compton, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Dyer.
Mrs. Dyer was a resident of Little Compton for almost 20 years. She worked in the tax assessor’s office before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Dyer III of Big Timber, Montana, and David E. Dyer of Bristol; two grandchildren, Robert A. Dyer IV of Gainesville, Virginia, and Emily D. Dyer of Bristol; a step granddaughter, Kelsi McElroy of Gainesville, Va., and a brother, Robert E. Carroll of Westport, Mass. She was the mother of the late Thomas E. Dyer. A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated by Father Gerald W. Hussey and Father Robert Hawkins at St. Luke’s Church in Barrington on October 12, 2012.
