Mary Joseph (Candela) Bianchi, 91, Bristol

Mary Joseph (Candela) Bianchi, 91, a true Bristolian who loved people, passed away October 6th.  Mary was born December 3, 1920 to Ralph and Cecilia (Sousa) Candela and resided at 32 Franklin Street.  She is predeceased by her husband Sando Angelo Bianchi and her brother Vincent. She is survived by her devoted daughter Cecilia (Sis) Proto and husband Kenneth, her grandson Todd Proto, her nieces Marguerite Falco, Laurie (Falco) Mulgrew and Susan Falco and her godson Patrick Mulgrew.

Mary was a person who loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She loved to get dressed up each day and go out to enjoy the experience of meeting new people and going to new places.

Her funeral was held October 10th from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Richard Narciso at St. Elizabeth Church. Liturgical readings were by Todd Proto and Kenneth Proto and the Prayer of the Faithful was read by Kenneth Proto.  The offertory gifts were presented by Laurie Mulgrew and Susan Falco.  Serving as pallbearers were Vincent Vaughan, Gary Dian, Carter Swanson, Richard Desilets, David Enos and William McKenna. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
