Marilyn J. Cabral, 70, Tiverton

Marilyn J. (Oliveira) Cabral, 70. of Tiverton, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with liver disease. She was the wife of the late Paul J. Cabral.  Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Medeiros) and Manuel Oliveira.

She is survived by her daughter Judith Daly and her husband Patrick of Norton, Mass., and her grandchildren Emma, Caroline, and Nathan Daly, and James Cabral.  She was predeceased by her daughter Jocelyn Cabral.  She also leaves her siblings Richard Oliveira and his wife Coralie, Kathleen Fernandes and her husband Gilbert, Phyllis Pingley and her husband Dan, Lois Pontes and her husband Dennis, and Gregory Oliveira and his wife Laura. She was predeceased by sister-in-law Arlene Oliveira. Mrs. Cabral also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was active in her community, a committed volunteer, but more than anything devoted to her family. She was very loved and will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4-7 p.m. at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton. Her funeral will be Friday with a Mass at St. Theresa’s Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.  Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at thecChurch.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  www.almeida-pocasset.com for online guestbook.
