Priestley, MargaretMargaret (Borg) Priestley, 97, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at the Adams House. She was the wife of the late William M. Priestley.

Margaret was born in Stamford, Conn., the daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Bjorklund) Borg.

She graduated from the former Mount Ida High School in Newton, Class of 1934. Margaret continued her education by earning a degree in chemistry and graduating with the class of 1938 at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass.

Mrs. Priestley was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fall River and the Acoaxet Club in Westport for many years. Margaret enjoyed listening to classical music and making crafts, especially braided rugs. Mrs. Priestley loved her English setter dogs.

Survivors are three daughters, Sarah Hirst of Brooklyn, NY, Annie Ellis and her husband Michael of Westport, and Chandra Priestley and her husband Giovanni of Washington D.C.; a grandson, James Hirst; and three great grandchildren, Roisin, Daire and Ronan.

A memorial service for Mrs. Priestley will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Spirit ,160 Rock Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
