Louise M. King, 93, of East Providence, died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center after a long battle with cancer. 

Before and after her retirement she was active in many volunteer organizations.  She was a member the East Providence Beautification Committee, the East Providence Senior Center and Self-Help of East Providence.

She is survived by her cousins; Stephen P. and Joseph P. Kirby of Barrington, Hugh Penney (Paulette) of Brewster, MA and Ruth Mathewson of Warwick.  She was the sister of the late Mary F. King, with whom she lived in entire life and a brother; the late Owen J. King.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday Dec. 27, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington, at 10 a.m. Calling hours are Wednesday Dec. 26, from 3-5 p.m.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
