Mrs. Linda L. (Lannigan) Castigliego, age 59, of 28 Sunnyside Ave., Bristol, died peacefully Friday, March 28, 2014, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Paul M. Castigliego, her husband of 35 years.
Born in Fall River and raised in Bristol, a resident of Bristol most of her life, she was a daughter of William F. and Elinor (Cushman) Lannigan of Bristol.
Linda was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1972, and she was a Teacher’s Assistant for 18 years for the Bristol Warren Regional School Department, working in various schools before retiring in 2013.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her two granddaughters, Stella and Chloe, and her many friends. She also enjoyed traveling and cooking.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two children, Paul M. Castigliego Jr. (Lauren) and Kim M. Butera (Dave); two granddaughters, Stella Em Butera and Chloe Lyn Castigliego; a brother, W. Sean Lannigan; and a sister, Jill Ott, all of Bristol, and many nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, March 31, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial was private.
