Born in Attleboro, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Jean (Haywood) and George E. Withington III. She is survived by her fiancé Robert H Stevenson, who brought much love and happiness to her.
She was the proud mother of Meredith A. Ferland and her partner Karen A. Petricig, Benjamin O. Ferland, and MacKenzie J. Cucino and her husband Gregory W. Cucino. She is also survived by her sisters Lynne W. Fernandes, Sally B. Withington, and Anne W. Kesner. She is predeceased by her sister Judith Carson. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and her very devoted best friend Karen Leach. She will always be remembered for her amazing ability to see the joy in all things in life.
She was a devoted parishioner, volunteer, and employee of St. John’s Episcopal Church for over 20 years. She was the co-director of Encore Consignment Shop and the Director of Lay Ministries at St. John’s Church. She loved spending her days in the sun at Second Beach, camping with family and friends, and cheering on the New England Patriots.
Calling hours will be held at Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave., Riverside, on Friday, Jan. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 191 County Road, Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. Burial will be private.
