Born in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late John and Santina (Pante) Scolaro and had lived in Warren until retiring to Florida. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 63 years and loving mother to her 10 children. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves four sons and three daughters-in-law and six daughters and three sons-in-law, Joseph H. and Pat Smith of South Attleboro, MA, Kathleen and Hank Myers of Portsmouth, Richard C. and Georganne Smith of Swansea, MA, Joanne Smith of Port St. Lucie, Carol and Steve Leigh of Hobe Sound, FL, John J. and Deborah Smith of Rehoboth, MA, Donna M. Smith and Kenneth C. Smith, both of Warren, Christine Pereira of Stuart, FL, and Lori and Douglas Dion of North Smithfield; two sisters, Mary Prindle of Bristol and Sandra Laroche of Swansea, MA.; 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Joseph, Phillip and Frank Scolaro and Kathryn Duarte.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.
