Joseph William Labao, 48, of Franklin Street passed away on November 20th.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Jose and Sofia (Aguiar) Labao.   He attended Bristol schools and was employed as a roofer for McKenna Roofing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters Mary Lou Labao of Mesa Ariz., Susan Labao of Tempe Ariz. and Paula Labao of Fall River, Mass.; his brother Arthur Labao of Middletown; his niece Kristina Labao of Bristol and his girlfriend Barbara Chiellini of Bristol.

Funeral services were held November 24th from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Luis Dutra at St. Elizabeth Church. Liturgical readings were by Mary Jo Medeiros and Kevin Costa, the Prayer of the Faithful was read by Jeanette St. Pierre and the offertory gifts were presented by Paula Labao, Susan Labao and Arthur Labao.  Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Browning, Steve Dias, Kevin Costa, Chris Amaral, Jarrod Medeiros and Dickie Belotti. www.limafh.com
