Joseph Perry Jr., 80, of Westport, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Tremont Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Wareham, Mass.
Son of the late Joseph and Esther A. (Fernandes) Perry, he was born in Westport and a lifelong resident of the town. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Perry worked as a farmer, an occupation he was very passionate about. He had a love for country music, antique cars and tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be truly missed by everyone.
Survivors include his former wife, Muriel A. (Sisson) Perry of Westport; two sons, Kenneth A. Perry of Westport and Brian J. Perry and his wife Christine, also of Westport; three daughters, Joanne M. Camara and her husband Clifford of Westport, Linda J. Perry of New Bedford and Lori A. Perry and her husband Jeffrey King of New Bedford; his sister, Patricia Kretzer and her husband Bill of New York; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Russell J. Perry, grandfather of the late Jacob J. Perry and brother of the late Frank Perry. Sr.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
