Jennie was an amazing woman; delighting the world with her bright eyes and loving smile. She had a serenity about her which came from her strong faith, the essence of who she was. She was instantly adored by all she met and her family shared her with people from all over the globe.
She is predeceased in death by her husband, John McGuire; her parents, Joseph Royle Slinn and Jennie Grinnell; and sisters, Elsie (Slinn)Stewart, and Mary (Slinn) Kibbe. She leaves behind her children, Jane Schuller (John), John McGuire, Joseph McGuire (Becky), Joyce MacLean (Douglas); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Countless others have claimed her as mother and grandmother.
All contributed to the richness of her life. She was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church in Tiverton, serving as church treasurer, organist, Sunday school teacher, fund raising coordinator for rummage sales, church suppers and Christmas bazaars, and loved her stewardship to the church through the years. She was a member of Eastern Star and was involved in many activities in Rhode Island and Florida, having lived there part time since 1959. She was a Girl Scout leader for over 25 years, influencing girls in both states.
Jennie lived a life of love; she gave love and she got love. While her family will miss her presence amongst us, we truly know that our Angel on Earth, is now an Angel in Heaven.
