Jameson W. Litchfield, 50, of Riverside, formerly of Tiverton, and Somerset, Mass., passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the companion of Karen Menz of Riverside, and the former husband of Carole Gallagher of Swansea, Mass., and Laura Dorn of Datil, NM.
Jameson was born in Fall River, the son of the late Alvin and Marion (Hoffman) Litchfield. He graduated from Rogers High School and New England Tech. Jameson worked for Titleist in Acushnet as an electrical mechanic for 15 years and most recently for Sensata in Attleboro as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed working on cars and accomplishing the impossible. There was no task or challenge too large for him to complete. Mr. Litchfield also liked to watch races as Seekonk Speedway.
Survivors besides his companion and former wives are a daughter, Rebecca R. Litchfield of Middleboro, Mass.; a son, Benjamin J. Litchfield of Danielson, Conn.; a sister, Sandra Almeida of The Villages, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Litchfield of New London, NC and Kim Litchfield of Tiverton; a grandchild, Avarie Tupper; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Litchfield will be held on Saturday Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial to take place in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
