Mrs. Ida (Medeiros) Maisano, age 83 of 1014 Hope Street and formerly of Beach Road, Bristol, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at RI Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Louis P. Maisano. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Ferreira) Medeiros.
Ida was a secretary for Walmsley Distributing Company in Warren for 15 years and had previously worked as a cosmetologist for the former Cherry and Webb Department Stores. Following her retirement she worked part time for the Bristol Stop and Shop grocery store. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the RI Hairdressing and Cosmetology Association.
She is survived by her three children, Kenneth Maisano and his wife Susan, Deborah L. Maisano, all of Bristol and Lori A. Deese and her husband, Brian, of Midland, N.C.; four grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren Maisano, Kayla and Jonathan Deese; and a brother, Gilbert Medeiros of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, James, George, Lawrence and Steve Medeiros and a sister, Mary E. Rock.
Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, March 15, 2013 at 8 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol.
