Ida Dorothy Bianchi Butterworth, age 84, was born in Barrington, Rhode Island on August 30, 1929, and she passed away in Littleton, Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013.
Ida was raised in Rhode Island and she attended school for 14 years. She was then married for 19 years to William B. Hooker, until his passing. Later, she married Charles Butterworth and they were together for 30 years until he passed away.
During most of her life, Ida was a dedicated homemaker, mother and wife. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed studying the Bible, collecting antique furniture, and playing tennis and bowling. Ida was also an artist and she painted with oils. She was a music and animal lover, and she was an avid baseball fan.
Ida Butterworth was preceded in death by her husband Charles Butterworth, and she is survived by her son, Kevin Hooker (Pamela) of Littleton, Colo.; daughter Karin Sparks (Rick) of Beaver Creek, Oregon; sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Ricci of North Providence; her four stepchildren, Mark, Peter, Michael and Rebecca Butterworth; 10 grandsons; 7 great-grandsons; 5 great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews throughout the country.
Ida will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her dearly.
