Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel and Agnes (Pacheco) Botelho. He was a graduate of Bristol High School and a self-employed truck driver for 35 years before retiring.
He leaves his loving companion of 23 years, Margaret “Peggy” DeLucca and her children Deborah Giannini, James De Lucca and Karen Fenster; his children Tammy Meyer and Robert Blair; and his sister Gloria Wilson. He was the father of the late Debra Botelho.
His funeral services were held Wednesday, April 3, from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated by Rev. Richard Narciso at St. Elizabeth Church. Liturgical readings were by Deborah Giannini, who also read the Prayer of the Faithful. The eulogy was given by Tammy Meyer. The offertory gifts were presented by Gianna Giannini, Thomas Giannini and Karen Fenster. Serving as pallbearers were James DeLucca, David Francis, Zachary Fenster, George Foster, Gary Fenster, Andrew Fenster, David Mosher, David M. Francis, Joe Coelho and Joe Coelho, Jr. Burial was private.
