Emily Forshee, 87, Warren


Emily “Sue” (Rohrman) Forshee, 87, of Bay Road, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert Forshee Sr.

Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late John and Emily (Miles) Rohrman. Sue was a 1943 graduate of Colt Memorial High School in Bristol and worked as a nurse’s aide at Hattie Ide Chaffee, as well as a waitress at many local restaurants. She was an active member of St. Jean’s parish and served as a liturgical reader and communion minister. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved to play cards, and enjoyed traveling as well as dining out with family and friends. She was loved by everyone whose live she touched.

She leaves her children, Robert Forshee Jr. of Berkley Ma., Claudia Alfano of Bristol, Christopher Forshee, Beth Forshee and Kevin Forshee, all of Warren; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Theresa Prenda of Bristol; and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Rev. John Rohrman, Russell Rohrman, Henry Rohrman, Ann MacDougall and William Rohrman.

Her funeral was held Monday, Sept. 15, from the George Lima Funeral Home in Bristol, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated by Rev. Robert Lacombe at St. Jean Baptiste Church. Liturgical readings were by Arial and April Keenan and the offertory gifts were presented by Beth Forshee and Claudia Alfano. Burial followed in St. Jean’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Paul MacDougall, Karl Rohrman, Andrew Rohrman, Barry Godwin, Adam Keenan and David Watson.
