Edmond R. Joyce, 82, Tiverton

Joyce 001Edmond R. “Pete” Joyce, 82, of Tiverton, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Delores (Ferreira) Joyce.

Born in Cranston, and son of the late James and Cecilia (Dube) Joyce, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Joyce served his country in the United States Army. He had worked as a custodian for the Tiverton School Department and was the foreman of Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.

Survivors along with his wife include his daughter, Deborah Joyce of New Mexico; his brother, James Joyce of New York; one sister, Margaret Joyce of Fall River; three granddaughters, Linda L. Dusseault, Deborah L. Borges and Jessica A. McKane; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Rose Gagnon and Cecilia Blakey.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, Westport.
