Dawn M. Kelly-Sullivan, 48, Barrington

Dawn M. Kelly-Sullivan, 48, of Walnut Road, died peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Scott F. Sullivan.

Born in Winthrop, Mass., a daughter of Stan Kelly of Revere, Mass. and Marie Buonopane of Delray Beach, Fla., she lived in Barrington for 14 years.

Mrs. Kelly-Sullivan was a scientist at Novartis in Cambridge, Mass. for the past three years. She received several distinguished awards for her work as a scientist throughout her career.

Dawn was a communicant of St. Luke Church and a Girl Scout Leader for Barrington Troop #54. She was a volunteer for the Rhode Island Special Hockey Association. A sports enthusiast, she earned a black belt in taekwondo and was a dedicated New England sports fan.

Dawn was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her twin children, Connor R. Sullivan and Payton M. Sullivan, both at home; two sisters, Lynne Kelly of Revere, Mass. and Stacey Langton of Wakefield, Mass.; two brothers, Aaron Kelly of Bedford, Mass. and William Guinasso of Revere, Mass.; step-parents, Cathy Kelly of Revere, Mass. and Marcy Mazer of Delray Beach, Fla.; a mother-in-law, Connie Sullivan; a sister-in-law, Kristin Sullivan; two brothers-in-law, Michael and Peter Sullivan, all of North Hampton, NH and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington was held in May. Contributions in Dawn’s memory to The RI Special Hockey, 95 Horbine Road, Rehoboth, MA, 02769 or Bay View St. Mary Academy, 3070 Pawtucket Avenue, Riverside, RI, 02915 would be deeply appreciated.
