David N. “Dave” Wilding, 67, of Restful Valley Road, Tiverton, husband of Madeline “Maggie” (Valliere) Wilding and son of William N. Wilding of Tiverton and the late Adrienne (Durand) Wilding, died March 20, 2013.
He had owned and operated Wilding’s Auto Body and Wilding’s Auto Sales, Stafford Road, Tiverton, for many years. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1963 he was a Massachusetts Army National Guard veteran during the Vietnam War era. An antique car enthusiast and member of the Fall River Antique Auto Club and Lizzy Borden Society, Dave participated in many shows and parades with his 1927 Model T Ford. He enjoyed boating and fishing and cherished his grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 47 years and father, he leaves four children, David M. Wilding and his wife Paula of Tiverton, Scott R. Wilding and his wife Cheryl of Fall River, Robin J. Molleur and her husband Robb of Portsmouth, and Rebecca E. Magrath and her husband Sam of Tiverton; ten grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Jessica Rose, Jared and Alec Wilding, Matthew, Nathan and Jason Molleur and Zoe and Jacob Magrath; siblings, Gloria Arrugo (Richard) of Fall River, Norma Farrell of Mt. Dora, Fla., William G. Wilding (Rose Marie Capone-Wilding) of Frostproof, Fla., and Nancy Cormier (Paul “Butch”) of Tiverton; and nieces and nephews.
His funeral was held Monday, March 25, from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Burial was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
