Anna Northup-Rowell, 100, Bristol

Anna Northup-Rowell, 100, died Aug. 31, 2013.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Holub) Rais, and a self-employed seamstress.

She was the wife of the late Reynolds Northup and Leonard Rowell.

She was a member of St Michaels Church.

Memberships included the Bristol County #16, Order of the Rainbow for Girls; International Order of Odd Fellows; Eugenia Rebekah Lodge; the Reba Rebekak Lodge and the Rebekah Assembly. She has spent much time in leadership positions for many of these organizations, including, Vice Grand, Noble Grand, Warden, Vice President, President, Chaplain of the Assembly, District Deputy President, Assistant Guardian and Secretary.

She received the Decoration of Chivalry and served as President of the Odd Fellows Home Association, President of Bristol County Past Noble Grands Assoc., Past Chief Matriarchof LEA Massasoit Encampment and Past Deputy Grand Matriach of LEA; Representative, Courtesy officer and Grand Matron of the Eastern Star. She was also a member and Past Matron of Mt. Hope Chapter, #23, OES, and member of the Rumford Grange, as a Subordinate, Pomona, State and National member, as well as the Bristol Scholarship Foundation.
