Elaine A. Leary Rose

Elaine Anita (Viveiros) Leary Rose 70, of Tiverton, passed away on Feb. 10, 2012, in Sebring, Fla. She was the wife of Norman D. Rose.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Sophie (Correia) and John R. Viveiros. She was the former spouse of the late Francis P. Leary.
She was a graduate of Dominican Academy and had received an associate’s degree from BCC. She had been the former bank manager at Sovereign Bank and had also worked as a cafeteria person at Tiverton High School. She was the co-founder of the Tiverton Girls Softball League and is a member of the Sebring Red Hat Ladies. She was also a life-long member of Holy Ghost Parish in Tiverton. She will be remembered for her warm heart and her devotion to her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Patrick F. Leary and Michael Lear; a daughter, Cathleen M. Leary; her sisters, Natalie Boike, Joyce Viveiros and Doreen Clerc; grandsons Jared Leary and Mitchell Leary; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral was Friday from the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, Tiverton, with a Mass at Holy Ghost Church. Burial at Pocsset Hill, Tiverton. www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guestbook.
