By   /   November 19, 2012  /   1 Comment

Macomber School was the headquarters last week for donations of items for hurricane Sandy victims in the New York and New Jersey area.  Collections on Monday, Nov.12,and Thursday, Nov. 15, generated an outpouring of support from the community and local firefighters transported items to families on Tuesday.  The second collection of the items last Thursday will be brought by Macomber staff (including Principal Julianna Pasetto, who had lived in New Jersey for over 20 years) to hurricane victims in New Jersey.  Among those helping out were local businesses such as Estrella Trucking, Perfect Smiles Dentistry, and Coyne and Powers Insurance Agency. Texas Roadhouse and Trio Restaurant provided nourishment for volunteers as they organized and packed over 300 boxes of supplies from over 150 families.  Principal Pasetto said she was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support.
