Westport Police: Domestic assault, drug arrests

Friday, Sept. 20

Police served an arrest warrant at 11:20 a.m. on Tiffany A. Read, 36, of 179 Forge Road, Westport.

Following an investigation, Westport Police at 12:17 p.m. charged Nathan J. Moniz, 28, of 30 Crane Ave., Westport, with receiving stolen property worth over $250, larceny under $250 by false pretense, and using a motor vehicle during the commission of felony larceny.

Called at 3:18 p.m. to a disturbance on American Legion Highway, police charged Jessie A. Machado, 23, of Fall River, with assault, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Responding to a 12:31 a.m. 911 call for a domestic disturbance at 1148 American Legion Highway, police charged Wayne M. Hebert, 22, of that address with domestic assault. He was also arrested on a warrant for simple assault.

A break-in was reported on Washington Street at 11:29 a.m.

Monday, Sept. 23

Called to Gifford Road at 8:17p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance, police arrested Eric J. Arsenault, 32, of 406 Pine Hill Road, Westport, with domestic assault.

Tuesday, Sept. 24.

After an investigation, police arrested Robert A. Tripp Jr., 20, of Fall River, on a warrant at 8:45 a.m.

Following a motor vehicle stop on State Road at 10:03 a.m., police charged Dennis Raposa, 51, of 96 Forge Road, Westport, with possession of a class A drug, driving without a license and a marked lanes violation.

Answering an 8:56 p.m. 911 call for an assault, police went to Old County Road and charged Dylan J. Leitao, 19, with assault with a dangerous weapon, a metal object that was possibly a baseball bat.

Thursday, Sept. 26

After getting a 911 call reporting suspicious activity on Gifford Road at 3:17 p.m., police arrested Keith Singleton, 38, of Providence, RI, on a default warrant.

A break-in was reported on Drift Road at 11:02 p.m.
