An overnight power outage has forced a two-hour delay to the opening of Westport Elementary School this morning (Thursday). Staff should report at the regular time.

The power outage caused the school’s well pump to fail, a problem that is getting quick repairs. It is not clear whether the power outage is related to thunder storms that passed through during the night.
