The frontman of Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons will play the country’s top folk festival on Saturday, July 27, and will not only play with his own band but also with many of his inspirations and favorite singers and songwriters. His contribution to this year’s festival, “Joe Fletcher’s Nashville to Newport,” is a showcase of some of his favorites in today’s Americana, country and roots music scenes.
Nashville, Mr. Fletcher writes on the Newport Folk Festival website, “is still a place where incredible, independent musicians from all over the world meet, collaborate, and eventually can’t help but call home. There is something in the air that draws these people together in Middle Tennessee, and the atmosphere pushes them to excel in whatever brand of music they happen love.”
Included in Fletcher’s Nashville showcase are musicians Amanda Shires, Andrew Combs, Derek Hoke, John McCauley, Joshua Black Wilkins, Patick Sweany, Shelly Colvin and of course, the Wrong Reasons.Add to favorites
