Warren police logs: Three charged with DUI

Monday, July 1

Police were called to Warren Gas and Repair for a possible fight.

Officers tracked down a loose dog on Market Street.

A Broad Street woman asked to speak to officers about security cameras in her home.

Police reported that a small sinkhole was forming at Metacom and Patterson avenues. They notified the state DOT.

Fire crews were called out to a grill fire on Lambert Lane.

A Thompson Street resident reported that mail was being taken by a former tenant.

A Church Street resident told police that someone stole items from his car a few days prior.

A street sign was stolen from Davis Street.

Tuesday, July 2

Someone complained that a van had been parked on Cutler Street for some time. It was no problem, though; the owner lived nearby and the van was properly registered.

Someone found hypodermic needles on Ridgeway Drive and called the police.

A woman asked for an officer to help keep the peace during a custody issue.

Someone reported that a cat was stolen off its leash on Jefferson Street. The cat was later located.

A fireworks complaint came in from Child Street. A little while later, a similar call, with an additional complaint of “loud people,” came in from Munro Avenue.

Wednesday, July 3

A man reported the possible abduction of a child from Child Street. Police took a woman to headquarters, but made no arrest.

A group of men were reported fighting outside a Metacom Avenue establishment at 12:24 a.m.

A noisy house party call came in from Wood Street at 2:13 a.m.

A loud music complaint was called in from Wood Street at 6:03 a.m. Another one came in 27 minutes later.

Copper piping was stolen from a Metacom Avenue building.

Police removed an unwanted man from a Market Street address.

Samantha M. Stanzione, 22, of 241 Market St., third floor, was arrested on a Barrington warrant.

A Market Street caller ask police to remove several unwanted people.

A Hanley Lane resident complained about the odor from nearby livestock.

Someone reported that a woman was stumbling on the East Bay Bike Path, near Park Street. Crews said she was exhausted; they took her home where she started to feel better.

A woman on Main Street reported the theft of money and a fan.

A Child Street caller told police a man kept driving by his house and yelling obscenities.

A fireworks complaint came in from Main Street.

Thursday, July 4

Sonia P. Pimentel, 34, of Plymouth, N.H., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and refusal to submit to a chmical test, after an accident on Arlington Avenue at 2:48 a.m.

A woman trying to deliver newspapers on Main Street complained about people loitering along her route.

A Market Street resident called police after seeing a person climb up a fire escape and through the second story window of a nearby building. Police checked it out, and reported no problem. The man was the tenant, and had forgotten his key.

A cow reported loose on Adams Lane at 5:10 p.m. was back 14 minutes later.

Excessively loud noise was reported on Franklin Street.

Fireworks complaints came in throughout the evening from Thompson Street, Main Street, Sowamsett Avenue, Wood Street, Arlington Avenue, Franklin Street, Mulberry Street, Child Street, Hall Avenue, King Street and Manning Street.

Cattle were reported in the middle of Barton Avenue at 9:03 p.m.

Friday, July 5

Charles Denbe, 35, of Providence, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 12:24 a.m.

A bike reported stolen from Main Street was found on the side of the road in Barrington.

A fireworks complaint came in from Overhill Road.

A verbal argument was called in from Bowen Street.

Saturday, July 6

Tammy H. Bigelow, 45, of 9 Lambert Lane, first floor, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled her over on Franklin Street at 12:48 a.m.

A caller reported a drunk and disorderly man walking from Miller to Market Street.

A bike was reported stolen from Child Street.

Someone complained about a black Nissan driving the wrong way on Arlington Avenue.

A Shore Drive resident complained that a neighbor had left a large amount of spent fireworks in his yard.

Someone complained about the volume from a band playing in a Buffalo Avenue yard at 4:34 p.m. Police checked it out and said it wasn’t excessive.

A possible drunk driver call turned up nothing.

Someone found a hypodermic needle on Water Street.

A Wheaton Street man reported being harassed while out for a walk.

Sunday, July 7

A loud music call came in from Union Street.

Gregory S. Fowler, 47, of 137 Kickemuit Road, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, and on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Someone complained that motorcyclists were racing on Everett Street.

Police were called to a neighbor dispute on Manning Street.

Police broke up a large argument on Davis Street.

A narcotics call came in from Water Street, but no arrests were made.
