Someone complained about a parked truck idling for too long on Main Street.
A dump truck broke down in front of a Brown Street woman’s driveway, leaving her unable to get out. She called the police.
A Main Street woman reported receiving harassing phone calls.
Police went to 38 Market St., Apt. 2, after a woman called to report that her husband was out of control. After arriving they charged Dante Blancarte, 31, of that address, with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic disorderly conduct.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
A Broad Street resident complained that an exterior light on a neighbor’s house was on all night, and flashing.
Barrington police called Warren and asked that officer search for a man suspected of being involved in a theft at Shaw’s in Barrington. Police caught up with the man on the East Bay Bike Path, but there was no record of an arrest made.
Wednesday, Jan. 1
Police were called out to Main Street at 2:14 a.m. for people fighting. Michael Emond, 28, of 15 Church St., Apt. 2, was subsequently charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic simple assault/battery.
Police dispersed an unwanted woman from a Franklin Street address.
A cell phone was reported stolen on Water Street.
A caller rom Taddy Avenue reported hearing a loud explosion. A search of the area turned up nothing amiss.
Possible narcotics activity was reported on Westminister Street.
Thursday, Jan. 2
Police dispersed an unwanted man from Railroad Avenue.
Someone complained about a car spinning its tires in a Water Street parking lot.
Someone dropped a cat off at the Warren Animal Shelter.
A barking dog complaint came in from Franklin Street.
A Baggy Wrinkle Cove man called police after not being able to find his money. He located it about 20 minutes later.
Police stopped an ATV rider on Metacom Avenue.
Friday, Jan. 3
The Department of Public Works’ director, John Massed, asked for an officer to respond after spotting a man plowing snow at the Tourister mill onto the sidewalk. An officer arrived and confirmed that someone from the plowing company would clear the sidewalk.
Someone complained after seeing people on snowmobiles riding down Market Street.
Neighbors on Orchard Avenue got into it over snow plowing and removal.
Police got numerous calls about downed street signs and lamps, most knocked over by plows clearing during the storm. They also received numerous complaints from stuck drivers, people parking on private property or violating the parking ban, and the like.
Saturday, Jan. 4
A man who went down to Water Street to check on his boat got his car stuck in the parking lot. He said he’d come back the next day to dig it out.
Police dispersed an unwanted man from a Metacom Avenue home.
A Market Street woman complained that a man wouldn’t leave her house. By the time they arrived he was gone.
Police got a complaint that someone had left two dogs in a car parked on Water Street. Police checked it out and the driver was on a short errand, and returned soon after.
Sunday, Jan. 5
An Evie Drive woman reported hearing “loud bangs” from the direction of a power line.
Police got a call about an unruly juvenile on Buffalo Avenue.
Another Evie Drive woman called police to tell them that her ex-boyfriend was unwelcome at her home.
Police got a complaint of a suspicious person walking in the road on Metacom Avenue. An officer checked it out; the man was walking in the road because the sidewalks were snowed in.
Joseph Paul Santos, 45, of 348 Child St., first floor, was arrested on Family and Superior court warrants.
