Warren police logs: Man charged with DUI after accident

Monday, July 8

A Vernon Street woman called police and told them she didn’t want her ex-boyfriend at her home anymore. Police told her how to get a no contact order.

A Main Street resident called police at 10:38 a.m. to report that a neighbor’s dog was doing its business on his lawn.

Patrick Malone, 21, of 24 Mason St., was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic malicious injury to property, after police were called to his home at 2:05 p.m. for a disturbance.

A Kickemuit Road woman called police after her estranged husband showed up at her home.

A fireworks complaint came in from Mayo Drive.

Tuesday, July 9

A loud noise complaint came in from Water Street at 12:27 a.m.

A Miller Street resident told police that someone stole his recycle bins; it turned out they may have mistakenly been taken by a neighbor, though.

A Main Street woman told police that her boyfriend was refusing to return some of her things.

A couple was reported arguing outside their Main Street home.

Alexis R. Andreozzi, 25, of 17 Davis St., was arrested at 11:11 a.m. and charged with simple assault or battery and disorderly conduct, after a woman said another woman attacked her on Davis Street.

Police were called out to a verbal argument on Davis Street at 11:32 a.m.

Police got a complaint that someone parked a boat trailer on the side of Overhill Road.

A barking dog call came in from Mason Street at 2:16 p.m.

A man was reported for panhandling on Main Street, mid-afternoon.

Dante Blancarte, 31, of 38 Market St., Apt. 2, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, second offense within five years, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police were called to the corner of Market and Barney streets at 5:10 p.m. for an accident with injuries.

Police received numerous calls from Davis Street about a woman yelling and making threats. There was nothing going on when they arrived.

Rescue crews were called to Coomer Avenue at 7:14 p.m. to tend to a man who’d had too much to drink.

Fire crews knocked down a garage fire on Martin Avenue, called in just before 8 p.m.

Wednesday, July 10

Loose dog calls came in from Touisset Road and Kinnicutt Avenue.

Vandalism complaints came in from the Burr’s Hill basketball courts, and Meadow Street.

A Child Street man reported receiving harassing text messages from his son’s mother.

A moped driver fell off his scooter on Metacom Avenue and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Another loose dog call came in from Kinnicutt Avenue.

Police were called to Birchswamp Road for an argument between a divorced couple.

A person at Water and Bowen streets was soliciting passing cars for money, police were told.

A fireworks call came in from Company Street.

Thursday, July 11

Two loose pit bulls were reported on Seymour Street.

A man asked for a police escort as he went to Kinnicutt Avenue to pick up some of his things.

Police were called to Child Street at 10:14 a.m. for a report of a boy who might have marijuana in his backpack. Police picked up the boy and brought him to headquarters before releasing him to his mother. There was no record of any charges being filed.

Police were asked to disperse an unwanted person from a Union Street address.

Friday, July 12

A fireworks complaint came in from Federal Street.

Police found a bike that had been left in a wooded area off Hope Street.

Fire crews were called out to Bay Road for a sailboat that had overturned. Crews responded two minutes after the call and noted that the sailor was ashore unharmed, and a friend was attempting to help him right the boat.

An open burning complaint came in from Wood Street.

A Prudence Lane resident reported ID theft.

Cars on Cutler Street were parked “haphazardly,” a caller complained.

A Federal Street man complained about his supposedly noisy neighbors.

Police got a call from Metacom Avenue about a suspicious man with a “suspicious sack” on his shoulder.

A stolen cell phone was reported on Water Street.

Police got word of a possible drug deal on Child Street, but made no arrests.

Police were called to Metacom Avenue for a report of a naked woman in the road. When they got there the woman was in her home.

A fireworks complaint came in from Touisset Road.

Sunday, July 14

A caller reported a drunk driver on Metacom Avenue, but police were unable to locate  it.

A caller complained at 1:40 a.m. of loud music and loud people on Market Street.

Somebody stole a well pump from a Virginia Street home.

A Brady Street resident complained that there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from a tenant. Police checked it out but couldn’t locate it.

The animal control officer checked on a dog that had been chained to an Ellis Avenue porch for at least a day, possibly with no food or water. She ended up taking the dog to the animal shelter on Wood Street.

An ID theft call came in from Homestead Avenue.

A man and woman on Market Street got into an argument over a spilled trash barrel, police said.

A child was struck by a car on Child Street and slightly injured his knee. The boy declined treatment, and his mom said she would take him to the hospital for an evaluation.

A black truck that was four-wheeling off Chace Avenue almost stuck a woman, her friend and her child when it exited the area and headed back onto the road, the woman told police.
