Warren needs you on Earth Day

To the editor:
The Kickemuit River Council (KRC) is so happy that the wonderful Warren Conservation Commission (WCC) and Dunkin Donuts are sponsoring an Earth Day Cleanup on Saturday, April 27, at 9 a.m. at the Peter Sepe Pavilion on Hugh Cole Road, in Warren. Come, participate, and sign in at 9 am. Have a coffee,  enjoy a baked good, a clean-up bag & an assignment. If you can clean an area around the Kickemuit River — salt or fresh, in Warren or Bristol — it would be so helpful.
You could help the drinking water of 55,000 citizens in Barrington, Bristol and Warren by cleaning around the reservoir. You can clean the streets in Warren and  Bristol that go right to the Kickemuit River.
If you clean an area around the Kickemuit River in Bristol, you will need to leave the trash for Bristol pickup because of financial constraints. You may call me at 274-6927 to sign up for an area, if you cannot make it to the pavilion.
Earn a certificate designed by Janice Urban for your activities in Scouting, Church activities, etc., or a Mother’s Day certificate for the first person who taught you how to clean. Wear long pants, boots, long sleeves, and bug spray. Children need an adult with them. We hope to see you there. We need you. The Kickemuit River needs your help.  Three hours of your time will make the world a better place.
