Nathaniel Greene, 31, of 36 Barton Ave., pleaded no contest last week to a felony charge of second degree child abuse, amended from first degree, in Rhode Island Superior Court. The judge sentenced him to four years in prison, with six years suspended and probation upon his release.

Warren police arrested Mr. Greene on Oct. 23, 2012, after they received a call from Hasbro Children’s Hospital. A hospital representative expressed concern about injuries they spotted on an infant who had been brought in for treatment; police began investigating and arrested Mr. Greene later that day.

Editor’s note: Mr. Greene no longer lives at that address. Subsequent to his arrest the 36 Barton Ave. address was sold and is now owned by a couple with no connection to him. Clarification added June 17, 2014.
