One dog is dead and five others are under quarantine for 10 days after a dog attack at a Meadow Street home Thursday.

The deceased dog, a three-year-old Westie/Silkie Terrier named Savannah, was killed by at least four of its five fellow dogs at the home of Kim Costa of 25 Meadow St. All six dogs were rescue dogs, Warren police said. Police got a call about 2 p.m. about a large dog fight; when they got there, they found the deceased dog with puncture wounds about its head and neck. Warren Animal Control Officer Heidi Garrity took control of the scene and ordered the quarantine for the surviving dogs. Warren police said charges will probably not be filed in the case.warrenpolice_t670
