Walk, race, in memory of Warren’s Kayleigh Raposa

Runners and walkers plan to step out in memory of Warren’s Kayleigh Raposa when the Kayleigh Raposa Memorial Fund holds the fifth annual “5-Kay” run and one-mile run Saturday, Oct. 20, at Colt State Park in Bristol.

The run/walk begins at 10 a.m. at the park’s pavilion, just past the statue of John Chafee. Registration at the race is $20. Online registration the day before the race is $18.

Kayleigh Raposa, a sophomore at Mt. Hope High School and a Warren resident, was killed in a car accident in Bristol on Feb. 23, 2007. A soccer and all around-sports lover, she was 16 years old.
