Two-way back on Hope and Thames

Thames Street opens to two-way traffic.

With the lines and signs back in place, two-way traffic is again, welcomed on Hope and Thames Streets.

Earlier today, while road crews painted the dividing lines on Thames Street, several motorists were frustrated by the closed road. Some took to yelling their concerns at DOT workers, while others took it upon themselves to move the traffic cones and enter the roadway.

The temporary disruption was resolved around 3:30 p.m. when the one-way signs were removed and the dividing line marked the rule of the road: Keep to the right.

Hope Street was returned to two-way traffic one week ago, after being restricted to one-way traffic heading north while the area was under construction.
