EAST PROVIDENCE — East Providence Fire Department personnel responded to a call at 10 White Ave. Sunday, Feb. 9, which resulted in the residents of the home being displaced.

According to EPFD Lieutenant James Bellamy, a wood stove in the basement of the structure caused a fire in the wall above it. The stove was primary source of heat for the building. Two occupants were forced from the home.  The fire, located in the rear of the structure, was knocked down quickly.

A resident of the house called 911 when he saw the fire above the wood stove. There were no injuries.
