Warren attorney Morphis Jamiel (right) swears in the Warren Town Council Tuesday evening. From left are Scott Lial, Cathie Tattrie, Chris Stanley, David Frerichs and Joseph DePasquale.
The council was sworn in by retiring Warren Probate Judge Morphis Jamiel, who minutes earlier was honored by the council for his patriotism and years of service to Warren, his life-long home. Major General Jamiel joked that if the council couldn’t find a new probate judge for cheap, he’d come back.
The new council includes Independent Joseph DePasquale, voted back to the council last Tuesday after a two-year absence. Off the council is Independent Davison Bolster, who placed sixth in balloting. Also back on the council are Democrat Cathie Tattrie and Independent Scott Lial.
