EAST PROVIDENCE — Nor’easter Nemo has proven to be quite the disruptive force as the winter storm dropped a couple of feet of snow in the area and made for some long, cold nights for many East Bay area residents, including here in East Providence.
Keeping up with the plowing of side streets has been a struggle for the city Public Works Department. Several neighborhoods hadn’t seen a plow for most of Saturday as both DPW workers and private contractors attempted to dig East Providence out.
City Emergency Management Agency Director Wayne Barnes has been fielding concerns about lack of plowing on the department’s Facebook page. The Post continues to attempt to contact city officials for a comment or update on the status of plowing.
