Katie Dickson’s Wooden Midshipman has a bit of everything, from Warren-made leather coozies to cool T-shirts and Warren ephemera. Next comes Shakespeare.
The 146 Water St. shop’s courtyard will host four performances of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” Thursday April 24 through Thursday, May 11. The Rhode Island Shakespeare Theater (TRIST) is staging the production, and performances start at 8 p.m.

If you’ve ever seen any of Ms. Dickson’s courtyard concerts, you know what to expect of the show: Up close, intimate and relaxed.
“It’s going to be magical,” she said. “Fairy lights, crazy kids in love, swordfights.”
This telling takes place in a modern-day theater camp, and Sara D’Angelos and David O’Connell play the famous couple. Geoff White plays the resourceful Friar Laurence and Mary Paolino is Juliet’s pixillated Nurse. Rhode Island theatre favorite Mark Carter is taking on one of Shakespeare’s most delightfully demented characters,  Mercutio, who lives to the fullest and dies cracking jokes.
General admission tickets are $15, $10 for students and seniors. To order, call the Wooden Midshipman at 245-3431 or check out this website.
