Spring concerts at Kickemuit Middle School

The Kickemuit Middle School Music Department will present two Spring Concerts this year.

The 6th Grade Band, 6th Grade Chorus, and Jazz Band will perform on Tuesday, May 20 at 7 p.m. The 6th grade and jazz band program is directed by Jeffrey Brackett, and the choral program is directed by Andre Arsenault.

Songs featured this evening will include “Batter Up,” “Creatures in the Attic,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wake Me Up,” and “Wagon Wheel.”

The 7th and 8th Grade Chorus and the 7th and 8th Grade bands will perform on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. The choral program is directed by Andre Arsenault, and the 7th and 8th grade band program is directed by Melissa Labonte.

Songs featured will include music these groups will be performing at the Great East Festivals in Nashua, New Hampshire on May 30 such as “Sing,” “Ahrirang,” “Serengeti,” and “Mystic Dance,” as well as popular favorites “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” “She Loves You,” “Let it Go,” and “The Gettysburg Address.” Several faculty members will also be sitting in with the bands and playing along on their own instruments.

All concerts will be held in the Kickemuit Middle School Auditorium, Child St., Warren.

Donations to support the middle school music program will be gratefully accepted at the door.
