EAST PROVIDENCE — The Martin Middle School Theatre Troop presented “Under Jekyll’s Hyde,” directed by Scott Brousseau and Lacy Rego, on Thursday and Friday nights, May 22 and 23, in the school auditorium.

According to the student theatre website Pioneer Drama Service, the center piece of “Under Jekyll’s Hyde” is Dr. Henry Jekyll, a respectable London doctor, experiments with the evil side of man’s nature and turns himself into the nasty and villainous Mr. Hyde, the terror of London!  And the laughs roll on…  Here’s a simple-to-stage farce that spoofs Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic, “Dr.  Jekyll And Mr.  Hyde.”  An outrageous plot, terrible jokes and riotous stage action combine to make this jolly entertainment a spoof to remember.

In addition to the MMS troop, the Kent Heights Elementary School Pee Wee Players presented, “Alice in Wonderland.” The Pee Wee Players are the result of Miss Rego’s senior project from East Providence High School. She did this as her project after which Amanda Brousseau and Ally Maroto continued it each year.
