East Providence elementary school choruses perform annual rock concert

EAST PROVIDENCE — The sounds of Classic Rock music rang out from the East Providence High School auditorium Tuesday night, June 4, as a group of elementary school students from the city performed on stage.

The choruses at Silver Spring, Orlo Avenue, Kent Heights and Hennessey Elementary Schools, led by Nick Hurd and Taylor Temple, performed a rock concert at EPHS.

The concert featured songs from a variety of artists including The Beatles, The Doors, Janice Joplin, Neil Young, David Bowie and more. This is the third concert of this kind and every year it has gotten bigger and better. CDs of the children singing the songs are also be available for purchase.
