The Bristol Warren Education Foundation’s (BWEF) fifth annual Bodacious Bee will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Roger Williams University Field House.

The Bodacious Bee is an adult spelling bee fund-raiser that has become BWEF’s signature event. The theme for the event is “Bee a Reader — Children’s Books.”

The Bee includes the competition itself as well as a cocktail hour, appetizers from 195 Franklin, barbecue from The Preppy Pig, a cash bar, live auction, raffle, trophies and other surprises.

Tickets and event sponsorship information are available at www.bwedfoundation.org along with all the event details and how to join the fun.

Tickets are limited and the Bee has traditionally sold out.

Jaffe Orthodontics, Roger Williams University, Preppy Pig BBQ and East Bay Newspapers are this year’s event platinum sponsors.

Founded in 2007, BWEF is a non-profit organization made up of community volunteers committed to promoting educational excellence in the Bristol Warren Regional School District (BWRSD). Through monies raised via fund-raising events and donations from individuals and businesses, BWEF provides grants to BWRSD teachers and staff for imaginative, high-quality programs that enhance and enrich the educational experience of our community’s public school students. BWEF has awarded over $125,000 in grants since 2007. We are proud to have funded projects in every District school.
