Barrington High School students named National Merit semifinalists

Fourteen students at Barrington High School have been named semifinalists in this year’s National Merit Scholarship program. They are Karl M. Aspelund, Cristina Dan, Stuart Finney, Nicolette Griot, Ellis Iacono, Robert Kellner, Mark Krosschell, Jack Liang, Sophie Luks, Patrick McGartoll, Fiona Paine, Sofia Serrano, Hans Wang and Molly Williams. These students are among the 16,000 teenagers nationwide who are competing for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million. The scholarships will be awarded in the spring.
