Barrington High School boys’ track finishes third at Injury Fund, Ionata sets school record

The Barrington High School boys’ indoor track team finished third at Thursday afternoon’s Injury Fund meet, held at the Providence Career and Technical Academy.

The team tied for sixth in shuttle hurdles, second in the sprint medley, fourth in the 4X800, second in the distance medley, fifth in the 4X400, fourth in the high jump relay and second in the shot put relay.

The team also finished first in the weight throw relay where senior Charlie Ionata set a new individual school record. His 25-pound weight throw of 70’3.5″ replaces a 1970 mark of 70’1″.
