Barrington High School boys’ indoor track wins meets with Moses Brown, Hope and Mt. Hope

The Barrington High School boys’ indoor track team added three victories to its dual meet regular season record on Wednesday with wins against Hope, Mt. Hope and Moses Brown.

Barrington’s largest margin of victory came over Mt. Hope at 86-23. The Eagles defeated Hope 60-48 and Moses Brown 77-41.

The Eagles’ performance included a number of noteworthy individual efforts. Junior Anteneh Kutenplon-Rayess finished first in the 3,000 (10:13.3) followed by sophomore Kieran McGartoll in second (10:43.4). The Eagles also won the 300 against all three schools. Senior Alexander Richardson finished first with a time of 40.5.

Senior Charlie Ionata finished first in the shot put (46’7.5″) followed by sophomore Adam Kelly in second (37’8″), who posted his throw of the season. Ionata and Kelly also finished first and second, respectively, in the weight throw with distances of 71’2.75″ and 62’0″.

Sophomore Lucas Bledsoe lead all runners in the 1,500 with a time of 4:33.8 while junior Max Caro won the 55 meter dash with a personal season best of 6.7.

The trio of senior Will Casazza, Connor Royley and sophomore Gerald Guerrieri finished first, second and third respectively in the 1,000 with times of 2:44.7, 2:44.9 and 3:02.4, Guerrieri’s best time of the year.

The high jump tandem of sophomore James Heinl and Caro finished first and second with heights of 5’4″ and 5’2″.

Barrington now moves into its final dual meet with a 6-1 regular season record. The Eagles compete against Mt. Pleasant, Providence Country Day and Wheeler on Monday, Jan. 14.
