Barrington High School boys’ indoor track finishes second, sixth and sixth at RI Classic

The Barrington High School boys’ indoor track team tallied two sixth place finishes and a second place finish at the annaul Rhode Island Classic last Saturday, Dec. 29.

The team’s strongest performance was the weight throw where the trio of senior Charlie Ionata, sophmore Adam Kelly and freshman Robert Calantonio combined for a a distance of 177’9”, good enough for second place.

Barrington finished sixth place in the freshman-sophomore sprint medley. The team of freshman Thomas Richardson and sophomores Aaron Weisberg Isaac Lapides and Lucas Bledsoe clocked a time of 4:06.86.

The Eagles also finished sixth in the distance medley relay. The team of seniors Will Casazza, Alexander Richardson, Connor Royley and junior Anteneh Kutenplon-Rayess clocked a time of 11:17.73.

The Eagles next dual meet is Wednesday, Jan. 2 against Hope, Mount Hope and Moses Brown.
