Students at Rockwell Elementary School had a special visit today from Rhode Island Education Commissioner Deborah Gist. Commissioner Gist sat in on a fourth-grade and second-grade classroom, observing the students and teachers. She is expected to be at Mt. Hope High School tonight for the state’s Board of Education monthly meeting at 5:30. The meeting is open to the public.
