Born and raised in Fall River, son of the late Walter A. and Sophie S. (Rusin) Michaud, he had resided in Westport for over 59 years. After 37 years of working, Mr. Michaud retired from Montaup Electric in 2000. An avid hunter, he was awarded Hunter of the Year for High Hill Fox & Coon Club and was also Beekeeper of the Year for the state of Massachusetts.
Survivors, along with his wife, include a son, Anthony N. Michaud and his wife Sandra of Florida; two daughters, Jo-Ann B. Lacoste and her husband Dr. John Lacoste of Centerville and Carol A. Boulay and her husband Michael of Westport; one brother, Normand Michaud of Florida; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father-in-law of the late Maryellen Michaud.
His Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Friday, April 25, at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445, or to Community Nurse and Hospice Care, 62 Center St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
