Power out in West Barrington

Between 50 and 500 customers are without power as of 4:30 p.m., according to National Grid’s power outage map.

The outage is focused on a neighborhood between Lincoln Avenue and Washington Road.

Meanwhile, a couple of other pockets remain without power in town including a section of Nayatt Road and an area north of Veterans Park.

Overall, however, DPW Director Alan Corvi said local officials are working well with National Grid. He said a couple outages earlier this morning were corrected quickly.

“We were doing pretty well in Barrington,” Mr. Corvi said.

“National Grid’s been great. They’ve been very aggressive getting it resolved.”
