Portsmouth Police: Assault spread to neighbor’s yard

Sunday, Feb. 3

Jonathan A. McKone-McAndrews, 18, of 44 Flint Corn Road, was charged with domestic assault at 9:46 a.m. after an argument.

Monday, Feb. 4

A King Philip Street mailbox was smashed for the second time in three weeks.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

In connection with an incident that took place on Jan. 20, William L. Freeman, 46, of Newport, was charged with felony domestic assault, third offense, and disorderly conduct. On Jan. 20, Mr. Freeman argued with his ex-girlfriend, a Portsmouth resident. The argument moved outside and onto a neighbor’s yard where Mr. Freeman allegedly threw her to the ground and punched and kicked her.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Miguel A. Cruz, 45, of Newport, was arrested at 9:03 a.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
